A koncert Ola Gjeilo norvég zeneszerző műveiből épül, aki a kortárs kóruszene egyik legjelentősebb alakja. A program a tél és az ünnepi időszak bensőséges világát idézi meg: elcsendesedést, várakozást és fényt. A kórus, a zongora és a vonósötös váltakozó apparátusa gazdag, mégis áttetsző hangzást hoz létre. A Winter Songs nem hagyományos karácsonyi műsor, hanem spirituális és meditatív zenei utazás, amely az ünnep mélyebb dimenzióit szólaltatja meg.
