...so that big people and small people can finally - literally - party together. The children will get to experience the flavour of live concerts, and the parents will no longer have to defend their musical tastes at home. This time around, the musicians of Blue Rabbit will take them by the arm to visit the world of soul and funk.
Blue Rabbit and their brand of urban dance music command a following that includes nearly age group and fans of many different musical styles, ranging from rockers to jazz aficionados. Led by bandleader and keyboardist Mátyás Premecz, the line-up traces its musical roots to the unmistakable soul and funk sounds of the 1970s. Taking the stage at the concert will be six brilliant musicians to win over the audience with full-blooded brass, a brash bass guitar, lots of vocals and the passionate and trans-oceanic singing of Andy Hefler. Uniquely for Hungary, every member of Blue Rabbit contributes vocals, something that has not been heard here since the cult Hungarian bands of the '70s. The band have recently changed concept, and their collectively created new songs are even richer and more colourful and emotional than before. And those who start out with funk will no doubt enjoy a jam doughnut at the end of the concert, and the truly brave will get to meet Leslie, the furtive-natured soul of the Hammond organ.
