Like a chant or the omen of a silence, the line of a quiet light arises in this movement from hands, from faces and arms that are the liturgy of lifted flight of a celebration: the world is now summarized in this space, in this sphere where bodies are the intimate praying of air, the quiet closing of breathing in which life stops and another one reborn, higher, freer and purer.
OtraDanza exists as a ‘shared peephole’, intended to show their enthusiasm for the body as a primary alphabet in creation, their eagerness for transmitting ideas and concepts through an ethereal and volatile outline with dance as the core. OtraDanza is a project that envelopes the interdisciplinary work of artists, adding value, opening new windows and images of dance.
From 2000 till 2006, Asun Noales co-directed the company Patas Arriba. In 2007 she founded OTRADANZA. Since then, she has led the company with whom she has created and performed several awarded shows such as Tierra (Best Dance Piece Price 2009), and BACK (Best Dance Piece and Best Choreographic Direction 2010), both at Valencia Performing Arts Awards. In her choreographic history appear other important prizes such as those she earned in the International Choreographic Showcase Burgos-New York, 8Masdanza Maspalomas, Valencia Performing Arts Awards, for the Best Choreographic Direction in 2005, for Sacra/Dícese and 2009 the Best Choreography for Llebeig.
