The Daveform Quintet, who are well-versed in the genre of modern jazz, have captured the attention of their peers with their unique sound and ecstatic music, which unites musical landscapes and styles. The group was founded after an encounter between some exceptional performers and composers who – through their individual achievements – have already demonstrated their ability on the international stage.

Jazz, opera, Broadway musicals: Morgan James is at home in all three. Her amazing voice, enthralling personality and striking on-stage presence were enough to convince Scott Bradlee to invite her to appear in Postmodern Jukebox videos and tour with the band from 2014.

GÁJER BÁLINT énekesi karrierje 25 évvel ezelőtt indult Székesfehérvárról.

A magyarországi jazzképzés idén ünnepli elindulásának 60. évfordulóját. Ezzel a koncerttel arra a hatalmas kultúrtörténeti lépésre emlékezünk, amelynek motorja Gonda János Széchenyi-díjas zenepedagógus, zongoraművész és zeneszerző volt. A Zeneakadémia felismert egy korszakos kezdeményezést, így elindulhatott a jazzoktatás az intézményesülés útján: a tanszakból főiskolai, majd egyetemi tanszék lett, 2025-től pedig önálló doktori jazzprogram is indul.

A Tarjáni Tavasz Összművészeti Fesztivál idei programkínálatából természetesen a jazz sem maradhatott ki. Május 30-án, pénteken 20 órától a József Attila Művelődési Központ színháztermének színpadán két kivételes hangú előadó, Szulák Andrea és Bódy Magdi lép fel, a Gonda Music Band kíséretével. Az est elegáns zenei válogatása méltó lezárása lesz a két hónapos rendezvénysorozatnak.

Az ország egyik legismertebb énekese, gitárosa és zeneszerzője Zorán 2025. szeptember 16-án ismét felejthetetlennek ígérkező estékre hívja közönségét a Balaton Színházba.

Stimulated by the desire to explore written music in greater depth and take some weight off improvisation, trumpeter Luís Vicente called on Gonçalo Almeida and Pedro Melo Alves to join him, bringing together three of the most exciting musicians in contemporary Portuguese jazz.

Now 89 years old, and active since the 50s, the Brazilian Hermeto Pascoal is one of the biggest living legends in the Latin jazz world, yet he has never performed in Budapest before. He started out making music with the stars of the local scene in the 60s, and was making records with Miles Davis by 1971.
