After the film, a discussion with director Atom Egoyan and producer Robert Lantos.
Moderator: producer Gábor Osváth.
There are few films about the Armenian genocide that determined the fate and identity of two peoples. One is the work by Armenian Atom Egoyan, in which an older director, played by Charles Aznavour, who is also of Armenian descent, intends to make a movie about the terrible events of 1915. The film revolves around a customs search during which the soon-to-retire David interrogates the young Raffi about the project. Personal flashbacks are the most gripping details in the film, past and present collide, and it becomes evident that without coming to terms with the past, the common past, it is simply impossible to have a mentally healthy life.
