For centuries, the capital city just meant Buda, as they established Budapest only in the 19th century, when three cities, Buda, Pest, and Old Buda formed the city that we know today. The walk is setting this breathtaking building against the background of wider historical, political and cultural events in the life of the Hungarian nation. 

Explore the transformation of the somber fortress into a glittering and powerful court and the cultural site that it is today!

The tour takes 60 minutes.

Meeting point is at the Mikveh Galery (1014 Budapest, Palota út 1.)
