The double Grammy Award-winning avant-garde jazz musician’s 2024 album turned out to be one of the most exciting releases of the year. His fusion of the many branches of Brazilian music – samba, choro and baião – with novel elements make him a peerless figure, especially as he performs on a variety of instruments and non-instruments in constant search of the boundaries of musical creativity in the company of a band that has remained unchanged for decades. His Budapest concert is sure to be an unmissable occasion.
