The movie tells the story of Jaleshwari, an ambitious young woman from Jakarta who volunteers to take on the responsibility of improving the performance of a corporate social responsibility (CSR) program concerning education that was interrupted without any explanation. The story is playing in a remote inland area of Kalimantan Island, close to the Malaysian border. Jaleshwari faces difficult situations when she realizes, these parts of the Indonesian countryside have their own pattern of life, therefore theories, regulations, reform ideas created in Jakarta do not necessarily apply. We follow her struggles and efforts for balance and her work for a positive outcome while becoming more and more involved in local people’s life and personal traumas. Though a drama movie, it also displays the beauty of the landscape and shows exquisitely picturesque parts of Kalimantan. Definately worth watching!
