The breathtaking French coloratura soprano started the world tour of her first record of lieder at New York’s Carnegie Hall in the spring of 2017. “A performer who communicates the tiniest detail of music and lyrics with complete dedication, placing her entire being in the service of the lieder. Simply brilliant,” says her chamber music partner, pianist Philippe Cassard. The programme of the Budapest concert will select from her French and German repertoire, as well as this record of Schubert’s lieder. An event jointly organized with the Liszt Academy. The world premiere of László Dubrovay's dance drama Faust, the Damned took place at Müpa Budapest in 2016, as part of the Budapest Spring Festival. This large-scale production inspired by Goethe's masterpiece debuted on the main stage of the National Theatre of Pécs in the 2023/24 season, and will run again in 2024 at Müpa Budapest's Festival Theatre. The legendary American jazz drummer Brian Blade (Chick Corea, Joshua Redman, Bill Frisell) is both a familiar face in Hungary and also a highly sought-after performer in pop circles, having played with many of the greats, including Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan. Blade has performed in Hungary on many occasions, including in a trio alongside Norah Jones.
